Hello lovers of the Wild!
To all of my fellow foodie lovers! Let's have some adventures together.
Hello Fellow Foragers & Foodie Lovers
Hello Fellow Foragers,
I am so excited to be sending my first newsletter to a wild and waiting community that are eager to learn more about the wonderful world of wild foods, edible plants, mushrooms and natures delicious bounty. I am an advocate for seasonal eating and want to promote patience when it comes to what we find on our supermarket shelves.
We live in a world that is now spoilt for choice but this choice has a grave cost on the environment and people working with the foods we love to find on our supermarket shelves. With these journal entries I would like to show you another way, a way to eat seasonal, use wild plants, hunt for mushrooms and get a taste of the delicious landscapes across Europe.
1. Why this
This weekly newsletter is designed to give you a taste for the foraging lifestyle, provide some recipe inspiration and share stories from our adventures along the way.
2. Why here
More than anything I feel like this forum will provide a home for nature musings and hopefully inspire others to embark on some woodland treasure hunts.
3. Why me
I have been foraging since I was a young child, hunting mushrooms with my Grandfather in the West of Ireland. With this weekly journal I would love to share all of my tips, recipes, failures and experiences.
4. Why now and why you
I have been writing about foraging and seasonal eating for over 6 years now and I know that the people who have been out in the fields with me understand the passion, time and study it takes to truly appreciate the landscapes around us. There has never been a better time to ponder a more sustainable future with the foods we eat everyday.
Subscribe to this Wild Food lovers journal and I will offer you all of my tips, tricks, ideas, passion and recipes for wild seasonal produce. When you subscribe here I will be forever grateful for your support of my lifelong dream to become a full-time forager in the wild (I don’t think such a profession exists but perhaps after the bots take over there may be a chance).
Thank you for being here and supporting my love for foraging, food and outdoor living.
